The plan can account for the way an Ontario school coordinates Diploma Programme requirements with the OSSD. Tutors focus on the IB course while helping the student manage a realistic assessment calendar.
01
IB support within an Ontario school schedule
Students can face overlapping school, IB and provincial obligations. Tutors do not replace school guidance, but they can plan subject work around the full calendar and focus sessions on the most consequential gaps.
- Course, level and assessment cohort confirmed before matching
- Upcoming IAs, mock exams and school deadlines mapped together
- OSSD obligations acknowledged in workload planning
- Progress reviewed against a specific academic goal
02
Toronto subject-specialist network
We support the main IB subject groups through a wider Canadian tutor pool, subject to current specialist availability.
- Math AA and AI at both levels
- Physics, Chemistry and Biology
- English, French and Spanish availability
- Economics, History, Psychology, Geography and Business
- TOK, EE and IA skill development
03
Online versus in-person tutoring
Online matching provides the largest specialist pool and avoids GTA travel time. Selected in-person arrangements may be available; families should confirm the location, travel expectations and schedule during consultation.
- Online sessions available across Toronto and surrounding cities
- In-person availability is tutor- and location-dependent
- The same subject and level checks apply to both formats
- Assessed work remains the student's responsibility
A clear starting point
How Toronto matching works
- 1Share the course, level, goal, location and availability.
- 2Choose whether specialist access or in-person delivery matters most.
- 3Review the proposed tutor's direct subject experience.
- 4Set an initial goal and reassess fit after the first few sessions.

Reviews of Hack Your Course
Selected Google review excerpts, published on Trustindex, for Hack Your Course, which manages IB Tutors Canada.
“HYC has been incredibly supportive and professional. As a school administrator, I have been impressed with their values. We fundamentally believe that children should have unstructured time in their lives and the freedom to explore the many facets that make up their identities. If they spend too much time studying and tutoring, they often sacrifice habits that make a balanced, healthy life. HYC partners with families to find the balance between providing appropriate support and not recommending more than what is necessary to help a child reach their goals. An impressive company with excellent, responsible staff.”
